christmas update

     

Just a few snaps of what I did during the festive period! I had a fabulous Christmas surrounded by the people I care most about. We all stuffed our faces generously, with copious amounts of Turkey, veg sweets and cake. Just large amount of rubbish that no human could possibly intake throughout the year. I swear my face has got a little podgy after eating so much! I will have to get back into the gym as soon as the New Year comes around. I hope you enjoy my little snaps from over the pass few weeks. I also hope you all had a merry christmas & wishing you a happy new year!

hello! i have neglected my little section on the interweb for far too long apologies to anyone who enjoys reading my blog. I have settled into my new job - which i started in October lolz - and feel its time to resuming blogging, so prepare yourselves for Christmas present unveiling - i had awesome pressies! - many OOTDs and much more.

sorry for lack of posting, i have recently started a full time job leaving the woes of customer services behind for something more creative. I now am part of Laura Ashley's creative team and design mood boards for clients, all very exciting! Today was the start of my first weekend off in over 7 months, I decided to spend it by taking in some of the beautiful surroundings not far away from my home. So this morning me and Matt ventured off to Hafren forest armed with a flask of tea, chelsea buns and wooly hats. hope you enjoy the photos!

I got paid the day after i got back off holiday and for the first time in months I have some spare cash to burn. The first thing I knew I was going to purchase was these skull slipper shoes from Zara, I have wanted them for ages! They were £25.99 the fit does feel a little loose on the sides - probably just my feet - and they are really good quality. I can't fault the Zara delivery service, I have had constant updates about my package to my phone. I ordered it on Saturday evening and received it Monday morning and that was just there standard delivery service! I have a couple more payday treats waiting to be delivered and me and Mum are off shopping tomorrow. I need a new mascara and I am tempted to try the benefit they're real mascara, have you tried it? what did you think?

holiday blues

i'm back! Egypt was amazing, just wish we had a little bit longer there as I currently have full on holiday blues. We will definitely be going back in the future, as there is so much to do there. We visited the Pyramids in Giza which was a truly magnificent site, you don't realise how colossal they are until they are right in front of you. We met the Sphinx, also colossal! I aim to go back and visit Luxor see the Valley of Kings and Queens, Petra oh the list could go on! We visited the Egyptian Museum which housed many amazing things, the mummified bodies complete with FULL HEAD of hair, crazy. Also Tutankhamun's infamous funeral mask, which is 11kg of pure gold compared to my 15kg luggage allowance, that is a considerable weight of gold. I could go on and on.. if your struggling where to go on vacation, vist Egypt!

skulls & spikes

so my obsession with anything spiked has sky rocketed, i spotted these bracelets in new look and had to have them! I can't wait to get paid again so I can do so some serious a/w winter shopping. I've got my eye on some gorgeous things on romwe - please don't sell out - basically anything wine coloured or covered in spikes will do! I have some exciting things going on at the moment, that I can't wait to share with the world, or just anyone so watch this space!

i set my clocks early 'cause i know i'm always late

i thought i was doing so well with holiday prep! got passports ready, tickets printed, insurance ready. I just need to change my money into Egyptian Pounds. Until i was discussing it with my work colleagues and oh crap, forgot one of the most important things, to get jabs! So yesterday I scurried to the doctor surgery, i left feeling like a pin cushion. I have also treated my self to some last minute treats for holiday! 12 days to go!

Painted Lady Butterflies

For my sisters sixth birthday she had a butterfly garden amongst her gifts, so over the last few weeks off the summer we have been able to witness the metamorphosis of the caterpillar into the butterfly. In the pack she received five little caterpillars, we watched them grow into big fat grubs. We then witnessed the process of them becoming cocooned and releasing themselves. It was a truly wonderful thing to see, although they do bleed which was kinda weird! I would highly recommend this gift to anyone, not just children.

Lowri's Wardrobe

Today I began editing my blog layout, I have made lots of minor changes across the blog but they make a big difference to me. I haven't posted for a while, it is mainly down to lack of enthusiasm but blogging on a blog that doesn't really appeal to you is not good at all. I just got bored of the bunting design I made, I also had a lot of colours across the blog which was a bit distracting. Now I have a more minimalistic colour palette.  I created a few different headers myself, but got frustrated with them and opted for this lovely banner off shabbyblogs.com which I edited in Photoshop. I do intend to create one myself but this afternoon I just became so frustrated that this was the last resort, but I think its quite sweet! 

I am in the process of creating an image map for my blog and adding pages, but this also frustrated me and it was best to have a break from it before I exploded! One new interesting page coming to the blog is 'Lowri's Wardrobe' it is clothes of mine that haven't been loved and deserve new homes, which I'm hoping my lovely readers will provide!
