boohoo: the shoe edition

all above from boohoo *

So this is the shoe edition to the Boohoo LBD competition I won, I was going to call it the final edition but I sent a few things back so there will be new things to come when my return gets processed. I am a shoe lover, so treating myself to 4 pairs of shoes, for free might I add, was heaven.

1. I am in love with anything mint coloured at the moment, the pastel trend may be my favourite. So when I saw this slippers I knew I would be ordering them, they are super comfortable and if any one owns a pair of topshop vectras they are similar to them but the curved bit covering the toes is a bit longer.

2. I was in dire need of new sandals, my Primark tan gladiator sandals survived two summers but have been chucked away as they were battered. I have been looking at ones similar to these on eBay, and thought why pay for them when I could get them free? The toe post has cut the inside of my toe, but I haven't worn toe post sandals for almost a year so I can deal with that. I did find that the one shoe looked smaller than the other on. Or I have weird uneven feet and have never noticed. But for cute factor 10/10

3. Creepers! Had to get on the creepers band wagon, when I was searching through the Boohoo website I kept looking at them and thinking they were gross but the more I looked at them the more they grew on me! I did originally order the pair pictured and a cherry coloured pair. I had a 7 day dilemma of which to keep and which to send back, I settled with the leopard print as I feel they would bring more excitement to an outfit. Whereas the cherry ones lovely as they were, didn't make quite as much as a statement.

4. Finally, my beloved fake Lita's! I have wanted a pair of these for ages and ages and ages and now they are mine muhahaha! Everything about them is pefect, they have a platform inside them so they are super duper easy to walk in. They also have a zip up the side so easy to take off after a long night out on the town. I will definitely be ordering more in other colours I love the lilac ones and the lace ones but they were out of stock in my size.. booo! I would be super happy paying the price tag of £35 for these!

I have been a lazy blogger for the past month, due to job changes and mainly sheer laziness!
But come June I will try to be back to my post a day ways.

you so fresh to death & sick as ca-cancer

shorts - boohoo *
sunglasses - boohoo *
converse - bank
top - republic (old)

I have been lusting after a pair of American stars and stripes shorts for a while, but living in Wales it is very rare occasion for me to get my milk bottle legs out almost so pale they're see through, woe is me.. Here was the perfect chance to make a pair mine, I ordered them in a size 10 and they fit perfectly. They will be a great addition to my summer wardrobe and will be the first thing I take out of my suitcase when I arrive at my holiday destination, which we are yet to book but I am determined to go.

I love the sunglasses, they are the nicest pair I have owned for a while. I think Boohoo are selling them for around £10, I would more than happily pay that for this gorgeous pair of sunglasses. To be honest, all the items on Boohoo are fairly priced and if I could afford to I'd be ordering things all the time from there. Don't get carried away now Low...

a very merry unbirthday to me

dress - boohoo *
blazer - river island
shoes - love label (old)
belt - dorothy perkins (old)

I have so many lovely pictures of the items I recieved from Boohoo that I have decided to divide them into daily posts, as I think a super long post would be boring and I have a lot of pictures! So this may be my favourite item, I have been eyeing it up for a while on the website but never plucked up the courage to buy it as I've never needed it. I'm so glad I own it now, the fabric does feel a little thin but I think thats perfect, as its a summery dress so you need it to be light and airy. The print is adorable, but I think my favourite part about this dress is the underskirt which is only a little bit visible. I have decided that this will be the perfect dress to wear as a wedding guest. The best part is I already own the perfect accessories. This floral belt goes unbelievably well with this dress, and the fact I have matching heels I could almost explode with excitement! When I look at this dress I just want to put on frilly socks, brogues little lace gloves and go and eat cucumber sandwiches and sip tea.

do you think i would be welcome here wearing this dress?

Protego Horribilis

This is my second charm bracelet, I decided to make a themed one to express my love for all things Potter. I bought the leather charm carrier a while a go on offer, and I purchased the snitch and owl charm at the Clothes Show Live way back in December, but whilst I was at work the other day I noticed how incredibly cheap the beads were! The little gold foil speckled beads are down to £3.99 so I went ahead and bought 4 packs. I also bought a snake charm. I have been looking on eBay for more Potter related charms, I have found a sorting hat and the famous key from the first in the Potter series. I have been thinking about getting a Harry Potter related tattoo for a while, not an obvious scar on the head as so many have tried to be clever and suggest! Just something related but subtle, I have got a few ideas but won't spill them just yet.

I made my Boohoo order today was so nice to just splash out. I didn't order to much clothing as my clothing storage system is already bursting at the seams. But hey who's complaining about 5 new pairs of shoes and on trend accessories?  Just a reminder that when I get to 50 followers I will be having a giveaway!

- there are many live links above to save you searching the internet for the items, enjoy! -

40th Birthday Party!

 my family!

It was my Dad's 40th birthday last weekend, after much preparation its come and gone. Everyone that attended had a brilliant time, everyone loved the cake that was made by Karen at Designa Cake in Shrewsbury, also the personalised sweets! My Dad recieved a substantial amount of money in cards which he is going to donate some to Macmillan Nurses for helping my Grandad through his battle which cancer which unfortunately he lost and also the the Welsh Air Ambulance Service for airlifting his cousin at the start of the year when she was struck down with a brain haemorrhage.

boo who?!

so I came in from running club last night a very sweaty mess collapsed on the sofa and checked my e-mail inbox to be greeted by a big 'CONGRATULATIONS' from the lovely team at Boohoo! I won the LBD competition that ran on their facebook page and now have £200 to spend on Boohoo! My reply consisted of many YAAAAAY's they must think I am crazy. I have stopped myself looking on Boohoo since I was entered in the competition as I didn't want to get to carried away and get my hopes up, so its refreshing to see their new stock, theres so many gorgeous things on there! This is a wonderful thing as I've never been able to just go and spend £200 purely on clothes shoes and accessories. Even more wonderful as I am trying to save my money for many expensive things, so I wouldn't be able to splurge as much.

Now.. what to buy...

oreo brownie recipe

I have always wanted to make brownies but thought they would take a lot of time and effort, I like things to be quick and painless! So when I watched Lorraine Pascale make these on tv one rainy Sunday morning I knew I had to make them the fact they are packed with Oreos swayed me further. The brownies were very successful and super easy to make, I should of kept them in the oven just a little bit longer but we were all too excited to have a taste. Next time I'll have to make a bigger batch as they didn't last the afternoon! Recipe here!

Ted Baker feopora skirt

Ah, I took these pictures a while ago so weird to see my hair its natural colour and my side parting as I am a fully fledged middle parted ombre haired human now! Anyway, I spotted this Ted Baker skirt in my local catalogue bargain shop/littlewoods and fell in love with it! What I want to know is why didn't someone scoop it up when it was £16!? Crazy to think a skirt that retails at £145 I got for £4! (I also had a 20% off voucher) I was debating selling it as one went for a £100 on eBay, but I think it will be a lovely piece in my wardrobe alongside my Ted Baker playsuit. It is such a beautiful skirt, made of rich fabrics and it has a full under skirt, its so luxurious. I'm saving it for a wedding I'm attending in the summer months. You can buy one here at a reduced price but its not a good a bargain as I had, sorry ladies!
